Through the Prism

After passing through the prism, each refraction contains some pure essence of the light, but only an incomplete part. We will always experience some aspect of reality, of the Truth, but only from our perspectives as they are colored by who and where we are. Others will know a different color and none will see the whole, complete light. These are my musings from my particular refraction.

Interesting Perspective

David Brooks proposes that the Democratic Party is split along class lines, with the working class supporting Clinton and the college educated behind Obama.

. . . The less educated speak the dialect of struggle; the more educated, the dialect of self-fulfillment

Did you hear the message of Clinton’s speech Tuesday night? It’s a rotten world out there. Regular folks are getting the shaft. They need someone who’ll fight tougher, work harder and put loyalty over independence.

Then did you see the Hopemeister’s speech? His schtick makes sense if you’ve got a basic level of security in your life, if you’re looking up, not down. Meanwhile, Obama’s people are so taken with their messiah that soon they’ll be selling flowers at airports and arranging mass weddings. . . .

But you can't trust anything David Brooks says.

Very true. And he offers no statistical data to back up his claims and they're inconsistent with what everyone else is saying (using the statistical data) and with my experience. I just thought it was an interesting way of describing the two.
