When People See What Garbage Everyone Else Is Consuming . . .

A few things from last night's Colbert Report:

To the right, a picture of Libertarian presidential candidate Bob Barr.

And excerpts from an interview with author Salman Rushdie:

Salman: She's also extremely sexually arousing.
Stephen: Most female wizards are.

Stephen: Was there any different way that women used to use their power of beauty, or was it only because that's the only power they had?
Salman: Well, that, but they also had lotions and potions.

Salman: A lot of the younger generation in Muslim countries really wants that change, so maybe it will, maybe they will bring it.
Stephen: What can we do to help? Can we send them video games? Will that help?
Salman: I think actually, you know, I think video games, YouTube, you know, these are the things that will change the world. Because when people see what garbage everyone else is consuming, they want it too.
