Suprised They Even Trusted the Library
Just had an eighth grade girl ask for help finding books about "poverty in America." One of the best looking sources on the shelf was an essay collection titled Ending Poverty in America, but her mom wouldn't let her check it out because it was edited by Senator John Edwards. "I don't want you reading that propaganda," she said as she took it away from the girl and held it defensively to shield her daughter from its evil influence. Never mind that the jacket claims: "Notably, the voices heard here are both liberal and conservative." She didn't open it to find out.

Well, look at it this way. At least she didn't yell at you for corrupting an innocent child or something like that. She could have easily turned on you and the way you were blatantly trying to sway today's youth towards your political bias.
