Hobbit Quest Update
Been waiting a bit on the Vibram FiveFingers while my toes have time to heal and the terrain here doesn't lend itself to barefoot, but I've been wearing almost almost exclusively flip-flops and sandals. I can still build up the muscles in my feet by avoiding shoes with support and lots of cushion and by walking/hiking/running in the barefoot style. Even though my feet are sore, I'm already a more balanced, quicker descender than my shoed brother on our hikes.
