Through the Prism

After passing through the prism, each refraction contains some pure essence of the light, but only an incomplete part. We will always experience some aspect of reality, of the Truth, but only from our perspectives as they are colored by who and where we are. Others will know a different color and none will see the whole, complete light. These are my musings from my particular refraction.

Athletes take their sport indoors

Local triathletes will be able to get their fix regardless of the weekend weather.

The 12th annual indoor triathlon will be held Sunday at the Jewish Community Center, 5801 W. 115th St. in Overland Park.

The first of the staggered starts begins at 7 a.m. The three events are a 500-yard swim in the indoor pool, a five-mile ride on a stationary bike and a two-mile run on an indoor track.

Although registration has closed, the public is welcome to watch and cheer on the teams and individual triathletes.
