Who Knows Who's Clean?
Many of those involved in cycling have been critical of the doping tests. The guilty, of course, have pleaded that the process is sloppy and the labs corrupt, but others who haven't been accused of anything have agreed. Riccardo Ricco was disqualified after testing positive during this year's Tour de France, but one can see why he thought he might get away with it.
Riccò has withdrawn his request to have a counter-analysis done on the B-sample, but said that the testing procedure needed some work. "Of the 10 controls taken, only two were positive. In theory all the tests should have been positive, therefore the method needs to be checked," he said.
At first he denied, but finally confessed.
