Through the Prism

After passing through the prism, each refraction contains some pure essence of the light, but only an incomplete part. We will always experience some aspect of reality, of the Truth, but only from our perspectives as they are colored by who and where we are. Others will know a different color and none will see the whole, complete light. These are my musings from my particular refraction.

Scenario

At the end of her humor and commentary, the Annoyed Librarian recently asked an interesting question. If a patron were to come into a public library and ask a librarian for information stating Barack Obama is a Muslim (or substitute the misinformation of your choice), what is the proper librarian response? The (mis)information is out there and easy enough to provide. Should it be provided without comment? Provided with comment? Should a lesson on information literacy be provided instead? What is the role of the public librarian in this instance?

(And for the latest in Obama misinformation, check out this.)
