Through the Prism

After passing through the prism, each refraction contains some pure essence of the light, but only an incomplete part. We will always experience some aspect of reality, of the Truth, but only from our perspectives as they are colored by who and where we are. Others will know a different color and none will see the whole, complete light. These are my musings from my particular refraction.

Too Complex to Be Categorized

eHarmony is one of the multitude of dating sites out there, but it has a unique angle--to register, you must complete a number of prescreening personality tests.  As Wikipedia puts it:
Prospective eHarmony members complete a proprietary questionnaire about their characteristics, beliefs, values, emotional health and skills. Matching algorithms . . . which the company believes matches people's core traits and values to replicate the traits of happy couples, use these answers to match members with compatible users.
I have a friend who registered and completed all of the questionnaires, then was given the result that he was too complicated for their algorithms and couldn't be matched with anyone, and thus couldn't use the service.  He was understandably frustrated by the experience, but I've always been a little bit jealous that he could genuinely achieve that result.

Well, I now have my answer. (Even if it is much more superficial).  I did a quick quiz meme to find my Dewey Decimal Section, and my first result is "Unassigned."

Chris Koppenhaver's Dewey Decimal Section:
626 [Unassigned]
Chris Koppenhaver = 3889915665481258 = 388+991+566+548+125+8 = 2626

Class:
600 Technology

Contains:
Health, agriculture, management, public relations, buildings.

What it says about you:
You are creative and inspired to make the world a better place. You can work hard on something when it catches your interest. Your friends have unique interests in common with you.

I'm too much for Dewey! :-)

The quiz gave me two secondary (though repetitive) results; they are slightly different, but still focused on "General Works" like encyclopedias and things that don't really fit in the other categories:

Chris Koppenhaver's Dewey Decimal Section:
087 Collections in Slavic languages
Chris Koppenhaver's birthday: 11/16/1971 = 1116+1971 = 3087

Class:
000 Computer Science, Information & General Works

Contains:
Encyclopedias, magazines, journals and books with quotations.

What it says about you:
You are very informative and up to date. You're working on living in the here and now, not the past. You go through a lot of changes. When you make a decision you can be very sure of yourself, maybe even stubborn, but your friends appreciate your honesty and resolve.
