Through the Prism

After passing through the prism, each refraction contains some pure essence of the light, but only an incomplete part. We will always experience some aspect of reality, of the Truth, but only from our perspectives as they are colored by who and where we are. Others will know a different color and none will see the whole, complete light. These are my musings from my particular refraction.

Pandoramic

The problem: your parents keep threatening to take away your school iPads because you are using them for playing games and watching videos instead of doing your long delayed, overdue assignments.

The solution: turn your room into a death trap full of laser beams, motion-tripped cameras, and other security measures so your parents can't safely reach your iPads.

The boys (ages 5 & 6) started playing with all the features on their school iPads over the weekend to avoid doing their work. Once they discovered the panorama option on the camera, they spent a day creating these weirdly artistic, fractured, warped images by spinning instead of panning. (This is just a small sampling of the collection.)

Yesterday they started their first full week of back to in-person school for the year so, unless something with the pandemic changes, the iPads won't be coming home any more and this experiment is finished for the time being. It's definitely something to revisit in some form at some point, though.
