Through the Prism

After passing through the prism, each refraction contains some pure essence of the light, but only an incomplete part. We will always experience some aspect of reality, of the Truth, but only from our perspectives as they are colored by who and where we are. Others will know a different color and none will see the whole, complete light. These are my musings from my particular refraction.

I Guess It's All About Who You Know

Will Shields has a program where he gives tickets to area schools to encourage literacy. My wife works at one such school. Yesterday her principal asked her if she wouldn't mind being a chaperone at the home opener this Sunday. I get to go see the Chiefs. Field level seats in the end zone.

Update: a central office administrator swooped in today and claimed three tickets, leaving us on standby (and the principal to chaperone alone). If a student fails to show, she goes; if two no-show, we both go. Oh, well, it looks like rain anyway.

I'm sure the admin types will be very attentive chaperones and deserve to go because of all of the hard work they do with the kids.

They'll be sharing seats at the stadium, but not meeting at the school or riding on the bus or getting the kids into the stadium, etc.

Sorry for the rollercoaster ride of anticipation. Especially since they sound like great seats!

If you get to go, we can wave to ya from the upper level. Ours are in section 306 or 308, row 10. I'm just happy we don't have a lot of stairs to climb.

Hope it works out for y'all.
