Through the Prism

After passing through the prism, each refraction contains some pure essence of the light, but only an incomplete part. We will always experience some aspect of reality, of the Truth, but only from our perspectives as they are colored by who and where we are. Others will know a different color and none will see the whole, complete light. These are my musings from my particular refraction.

Almost Forgot

To announce that I officially declared it spring in my kingdom yesterday.

I had to work all weekend, but when I got home yesterday we went outside to clean up the yard and mow the grass for the first time all year. Last fall we planted some grass seeds in our many patchy areas. I thought I'd covered them up with enough dirt, but they must have washed away until they were held in place by our existing grass. Now instead of thin turf with dirt patches we have lush, thick, golf course grass with dirt patches. Those areas of nice new grass were way long, too, just in the wrong places.

We also finally turned off the heat (that hadn't had to come on in quite a while) and opened up the windows. One of our reasons for buying a newer house was cheaper, more efficient utilities. We've definitely noticed a difference in our bills, plus the temperature in the house stays very constant instead of adjusting to the weather so we'd hardly noticed the fluctuations as it began to warm up outside.

Spring is over. It lasted for approximately three hours yesterday. You blink, you miss it. Now, it is summer.
