Through the Prism

After passing through the prism, each refraction contains some pure essence of the light, but only an incomplete part. We will always experience some aspect of reality, of the Truth, but only from our perspectives as they are colored by who and where we are. Others will know a different color and none will see the whole, complete light. These are my musings from my particular refraction.

Busy Week

I'm used to being a guy in a female-heavy profession, particularly as somone in youth services. But being in a room full of school media specialists still feels strange because the male numbers are even less (if any). Anyway, I'll have to come up with some kind of report soon, since I've been at Kansas' TriConference since Tuesday night. I'm visiting my family first, though.

That's when I joked with my super that I'd be calling in for a disco ball and the Chip n' Dales when she was out on a conference.

"Why, that won't be entertaining for you?"

"I'm in a female dominated profession. If I want a night off, I have to cater to the demands of my coworkers if I want a night off." *enter 5 40 something women chuckling*
