Through the Prism

After passing through the prism, each refraction contains some pure essence of the light, but only an incomplete part. We will always experience some aspect of reality, of the Truth, but only from our perspectives as they are colored by who and where we are. Others will know a different color and none will see the whole, complete light. These are my musings from my particular refraction.

Need to Have a Game Night

Ran across a calendar and game store that was going out of business today and bought two new games I'm anxious to try sometime soon. I've opened them and looked at them briefly, but still need to read the rules and explore the online support material.

Risk Godstorm

Enter the world of Godstorm. Five ancient civilizations--the Greeks, the Celts, the Babylonians, the Norse, and the Egyptians--engage in a continent-spanning battle to determine whose civilization reigns supreme. And rest assured, the gods will not sit idle in this war.

Turn Overview:
--Raise armies and gather faith
--Summon gods and build temples
--Obtain miracle cards
--Play miracle cards
--Suffer plague
--Invade territories
--Fortify a position
--Embark from heaven
--Invade the underworld
--End your turn

2-5 players

Munchkin

You and your friends compete to kill monsters and grab magic items, Don the Horny Helmet and the Boots of Butt-Kicking, Wield the Staff of Napalm . . . or maybe the Chainsaw of Bloody Dismemberment. Start by slaughtering the Potted Plant and the Drooling Slime, and work your way up to the Plutonium Dragon.

A fantasy RPG parody card game for 3-6 players designed by Steve Jackson and illustrated by John Kovalic. Gameplay lasts about an hour.

Munchkin is Fun. The expansion packs can also be mixed in for craziness. Wife and I play with a college buddy several times a year.
