Through the Prism

After passing through the prism, each refraction contains some pure essence of the light, but only an incomplete part. We will always experience some aspect of reality, of the Truth, but only from our perspectives as they are colored by who and where we are. Others will know a different color and none will see the whole, complete light. These are my musings from my particular refraction.

The Full Story

You've seen a few of our pictures and my brief take on our day at the Tour of Missouri. If you want to read a full description--including an appreciation of many KC area landmarks--from an international source, click here. Included are links to many pictures, like this one of the cyclists zooming through downtown Parkville.

Just looking at that picture annoyed me. Closing that particular road for such an event seems, to put it mildly, idiotic. If you're going to close roads for a sporting event (especially one that virtually no one actually cares about-- present company excepted), then don't close one that is virtually the only access to a remote, yet still fairly heavily populated area. That just seems incredibly stupid to me.

lol, sorry, I'm being cantankerous. Today, the Tour was in Columbia and I caught a glimpse of the barriers on my way home, but no cyclists.

Their goal was to only close roads for 10-15 minutes, so if you saw barriers you probably just missed the riders. You'll just have to find out where they're partying tonight and joing the fun that way.
