Through the Prism

After passing through the prism, each refraction contains some pure essence of the light, but only an incomplete part. We will always experience some aspect of reality, of the Truth, but only from our perspectives as they are colored by who and where we are. Others will know a different color and none will see the whole, complete light. These are my musings from my particular refraction.

Doin' the Time Warp

The Tour of California starts . . . right about now (flipping between that and the KU-KSU game). In it we have Lance Armstrong, who retired a few years ago, Floyd Landis, who returns from a two-year suspension after being stripped of his Tour de France title, and Ivan Basso, who is also returning from a doping suspension after winning multiple grand tours. Probably not a contender in this race, but the current U.S. pro champion is old-timer and previously suspended Tyler Hamilton. All back after being written off as done.

Then, of course, we have all of the current best riders from the U.S., like two-time previous ToC winner Levi Liepheimer, rising star Christain VandeVelde, and George Hincapie. Plus many top riders from Europe like Tom Boonen, Carlos Sastre, and the Schleck brothers. This is a stacked field and the start of what should be a great season.
